Covering: Drumchapel, Old Drumchapel, Drumry, Kingsridge.
The local landmark: Garscadden Woods, known locally as the Bluebell Woods, along the northern edge of the scheme.
On the ground: Low-rise terraces and four-in-a-block flats across the scheme, with easy parking at the door on most streets. Kerbside works well here: have everything at the door and the driver loads.
While you wait for the van: Billy Connolly spent part of his childhood in Drumchapel and famously described the new scheme as a desert with windows.
