Covering: Pollokshields, Strathbungo, Dumbreck, Kinning Park, Crossmyloof.
The local landmark: The Tramway arts venue and Maxwell Park are both in the district.
On the ground: Large stone villas in Pollokshields West and Dumbreck, but most flats in Strathbungo and East Pollokshields are tenement walk-ups without lifts. If your place means stairs with no lift, choose Assisted and the two-person crew carries everything (£15 per end for 2nd or 3rd floor, £30 for 4th and up).
While you wait for the van: Alexander 'Greek' Thomson designed Strathbungo's Moray Place and lived at number one himself.
